FEDORA, the All-Girl Quartet plays swing, folk, bossa nova and a taste of country classics at the Bookworm Exchange, 4860 Rainier South #A, as part of Beatwalk in Columbia City.

BeatWalk is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run neighborhood event, first Fridays May through September along and near Rainier Ave. S between S. Edmunds and S. Dawson. Attendees pay $7 and get into all venues. Kids are FREE. You can learn more at www.columbiacitybeatwalk.org .

Come out and DANCE! Lessons in swing dancing from 2 to 3pm right before the dance itself.

Narrative Stage at 1pm
This 50 minute program features songs and from WW II (performed in authentic military uniforms) with vocals (Dina Blade), piano (Han Brehmer) and narrative (Ray Puddicomb). Special guest Ray Puddicombe, an elder WW2 veteran and actor, will be speaking about his wartime experiences. Mr. Puddicombe is a Seattle resident who served as a soldier on the German Front during the Rhineland Campaign of 1944. This will be a rare opportunity to hear personal stories from the WW II era.

We hope you won't miss Quartet Chassez at Folklife with Dina Blade's lush vocals and percussive washboard, Terry Wergeland's dreamy piano, and, of course, the musical savvy of those longtime dance-hall pros, Phil and Vivian Williams. They play fox trots, waltzes, polkas, schottishes and swing.
