Dina headlines Saturday's dance with the 12-piece Joy Street Orchestra, and she'll bring a boatload of swing classics and compelling waltzes to the party at Ballard's Leif Erikson Hall.
Expect a banquet of tasty dance music: Swing and Foxtrot, Cross-Step Waltz, Rhythm & Blues, a few Rotary Waltzes, Cha-Chas, get-down blues and some 50s Rock 'n' roll.
Come at 7 for an intermediate Cha-Cha lesson with Janice Eklund, then dance from 8 till 11. Just $20 for both lesson and dance.
And to make parking easy: The NW Dance cashier hands out free-parking passes to the first 12 who ask. Street parking is free after 8 p.m. And just a half block west of the Leif—everything west of 24th Avenue N.W.—street parking is always free.
